Our ID has different usage such as it can be used to get inside the office or in school. With some ID’s far more critical because they are used in transactions. Of course, these are the government IDs. When you are applying for a bank account, then they would ask you for a government ID, which you need to provide for the bank to give you an account. This is done because they want to prove the validity and they would want to identify the person opening the account. Of course, you understand that this is done for your good. However, the sad thing about these ID’s is that there are too many IDs that you need to present. Getting these IDs isn’t easy either since it would cost you time and money. Fortunately, President Rodrigo Duterte announced that there would be only one ID for all the transactions in the Philippines. The national ID would start to take effect on Saturday, August 25. This means that you don’t need to apply for an ID for the different purposes, as per Business Mirror. national id system The president is signing the national ID system. Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar says that it would make our lives a lot easier since this ID would be accepted in all transactions done in the Philippines. If you are an overseas contract worker, then you don’t have to provide several IDs just to get outside the country and work there. This ID would have the same information as the latter IDs as it would include the number, full name, facial image, gender, date of birth, blood type, and address. The president suggested the national ID system since he believes that it would be useful for his campaign against those bad guys. This would make it easier for the police to track down those bad guys. His spokesperson, Harry Roque, Jr. says that there is nothing to fear, the information on the ID is protected by privacy law. The national ID system would be implemented in September. “Kapag na-publish na [ang IRR] puwede na kaming mag-procure at i-implement ang national ID,” Bersales said. It is expected that a million Filipino would have their national IDs by September. The national ID system would get its fund from the national budget. It would have funding of P 2-billion initially.
